We are now into our 2020 – 2021 section year and with our local area now being into Stage 3 (COVID-19), the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club has opened up the dining room with certain virus protocols and limited attendance.  We feel like we can continue as almost normal. Distancing will be the key but the plan is taking shape and looks good.

We will begin by convening our executive group meeting first during which we setup our budget and the basic plans for the year. Our new executive  group is in place and we’re good to go on that front.  We will be sending out a monthly newsletter this year just to keep everyone up to date. So at this moment we have no cancellations, but as we move forward, we’ll address any changes as may be needed.

I trust that  everyone is receiving their membership emails from ISA and as you may have read, the Council of Society Delegates will be voting online. There will be no face to face meetings this year. The delegates will have time to vote on the new by-law proposed changes. The Society website is about to be upgraded shortly. If you go onto the ISA web site regularly you will start to see the changes and updates.  One very significant change coming soon will be “ISA Connect”.  This enhanced networking approach will enable online communities where we’ll be able to discuss various subjects and topics of interest.  I have already set up the Sarnia Community and that will be made available once the remaining development for “ISA Connect” has been completed and setup online. I’m really looking forward to this new opportunity for ISA networking and interaction.Thanks for your patience throughout these troubling times but we will all get through this. I pray that you and your families have all had a safe summer and look forward to seeing you in the near future.
