- Taylor Rupture Pin Valve
- Power of the Pin – Design – Function – Application
The Taylor Rupture Pin Valve is an advanced pressure relief and isolation technology that uses a unique pin designed to buckle at a precise set pressure, operating on Euler’s Law of Compressed Columns. Developed in 1986 and backed by ASME approval , the valve has a remarkable 99.99% satisfaction rate with over 30,000 units sold globally. The primary advantage of this technology over traditional rupture discs is its high accuracy and reliability. Because the pin’s stress remains below the elastic limit before buckling, it cannot fatigue like a rupture disc, which is irreversibly damaged when pressured beyond its yield point.
