SUMMARY:Dinner Meeting - Smart Power Supplies for Critical Power to Control Systems
DESCRIPTION:Update your Calendar\, Save the Date and Plan to Join Us for our Dinner Meeting\nWagg’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant – 420 Christina St. N.\, Sarnia \nDinner Meeting \n\n5:00 PM – Cocktails\n6:00 PM – Dinner\n7:00 PM – Presentation\n\nDinner Menu \n\nGarden Salad\, Fresh Baked Dinner Rolls\nMaple Glazed Atlantic Salmon\, Mashed Potato\, Mixed Vegetables\nDessert\, Coffee & Tea\n\nPresentation \n\nSmart Power Supplies for Critical Power to Control Systems\n\nA 24VDC power supply failure for a critical process controller or device can lead to an unplanned shutdown of critical plant equipment or processes. The inability to monitor key power supply diagnostics leaves plants unable to prevent such shutdowns or anticipate potential issues. Without critical event visibility\, plants don’t have the necessary tools to troubleshoot issues before they become catastrophic. Unfortunately\, all power supplies have an end-of-life. Uncertainty around when a power supply will reach that point makes it difficult to plan accordingly. This session provides a real look into the application of smart power supplies and how to utilize this capability to efficiently monitor critical power to the control system.\n\n\n\nSpeaker \n\nJay Hendrix – Emerson\n\nJay is responsible for product vision\, strategy\, and development for SolaHD connected products. He has more than 30 years of industry experience in product management\, building controls\, and technical integration. SUMMARY:ISA - OT Cybersecurity Summit - Scotland
DESCRIPTION:Operational Technology Cybersecurity Summit – Scotland\n\n \nIncrease your understanding of how to use standards and conformance systems to keep operational technology (OT) safe and secure. \nFor More Information. –> OT Cybersecurity Summit – Scotland \nThis brand new event will focus on how you can protect your fortress with the ISA 62443 series of standards and related training courses. Cybersecurity is a hot topic as supply chain risk emerges as a top concern in the energy sector. A cyber breach at any level in a supply chain has the potential to take down the whole operation. \nRegulators in the North Sea are asking contractors detailed questions about OT Cybersecurity\, especially on operations classified as critical infrastructure. This increased scrutiny has resulted in more detailed contractual requirements. Insurance companies are also looking for specific details before writing a cybersecurity policy. \nISA has established a series of industrial cybersecurity standards that serve as your roadmap to improve security and protect your operations with strategies such as zero-trust architecture and OPC/protocols.
