The zone system is slightly different from the previous “Division” system of classification. Engineers often take conservative approach in specifying electrical equipment for hazardous locations. The person may lack information regarding the operations conducted in an area\, or they might not understand the behaviour of materials\, different protection methods available or the applicable code requirements. Whatever the reason\, they fail to apply the requirements of the Electrical Code in a practical fashion. This presentation will talk about basics of Hazardous area classifications and solutions to aid you in your day-to-day business.\n\n\n\n\nSpeaker\n\nRamin Vali – R. Stahl Ltd. Canada\n\nRamin is an automation engineer with experience working with several DCS companies\, and their system integrators in Canada and the Middle East. Ramin has been working for R. Stahl Ltd. Canada for about 4 years as an automation engineer. He performs technical support to the sales team and carries after-sales support to clients in Canada.\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\nSafety Protocols & Requirements\n\nAll Guests must wear a mask (or face covering) when entering the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club (SGCC) and at anytime when not seated at your table.\nHand sanitizer stations have been set up at the entrance doors. Be surety to use the hand sanitizer when entering the facility.\nAll attendees and meeting participants will register with Ken Armitage upon arrival and will be required to confirm contact info (name/phone number) for contact tracing purposes if required.\nPlease do everything possible to ensure social distancing (2 metres) when not seated at the table.\nBar service is not available.
